Hot on the heels of the release of their second LP 'Horn If You’re Honky', Melbourne four-piece Girlatones are set to bring you their new EP 'Short & Sweet'. Here, Girlatones have a crack at home-spun hi-production standards whilst maintaining the sense of freedom and spontaneity of a band playing together in a room. Singer-instrumentalist Jesse Williams’ classic songwriting is on display throughout four songs packed with light, shade, and the usual sense of humour.

First single, 'Remember The Future', speaks to the contrast between generations, when imagining the future in the wake of an impending environmental catastrophe. Underlying the contemplative lyrics is a sense of optimism carried by an energetic piano boogie and boppin' rhythm section. The repeated final phrase “remember the future” is a call to take action and protect what we don’t want to lose.
