The 3rd Darren Bittersweet is bona fide pop gem. Very much written and performed in the style of the British Invasion classics of the 1960s. Not hard to imagine The Hollies, Searchers or even Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich having a good crack at this song. Favorite track: Bittersweet.

Bittersweet 02:54
everything is a little bit bittersweet and though i try i just can't hide it maybe i'm just a little sweet on you everything is a little bit kind of shit no matter what i do i just can't swim through it everything seems a little bit sweeter with you would you like some sugar in your coffee or a squeeze of lemon with your toffee some zaatar with your turkish delight? everyone seems a little bit out of it no matter what i do i can't be a part of it maybe i'm just a little bit out of it too everyone wants to feel their importance and though i try i can't afford it maybe one day i could be important to you

you came into my life, there wasn't no one 'round, it gave me such a fright, you pulled me from the ground, but i wasn't looking for you, and i didn't know what to do we started out holding hands and meeting friends, and when we kissed i knew there wouldn't be an end i knew just looking at you, i realised what i had to do what's it all about? when people are strangely so close to you what's it all about? when people so strange want to tell you oooh oooh we had a house decorated in a style, that we could compromise just staying for a while but i didn't own it with you, and suddenly our rent was due you went out of my life much like you came into, no longer were around and now i'm feeling blue, here i am looking for you, i just don't know what to do dear, what's it all about? i want to know, but i never can find out the people in your life, they come and go, don't you know?
